Welcome to my Wiki.

This is my first ever Wiki. I am really digging the ease of it. I hope to entertain and provide insight to you all!

My philosophy is in line with viewing a student's education as a starting point to the rest of their lives. If I can make their journey easier or more fun for at least one school year, my goal is satiated. My interests are with new media and emerging schools of thought in education practices.

I come from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in Film studies and a minor in Linguistics. These have given me a taste for utilizing both filmic representations as well as looking at English with a linguist's point-of-view.

I want to take people the farthest they want to with a topic that interests them; once I find that, I love to nourish it. Film, literary adaptation, and graphic representation really interest me. I find nothing wrong with making media abundantly available to people because one can never have enough media surrounding them.

Starting with a newer technology like Wikis in this course gets me excited to use it with future students of mine. I feel that it opens more doors to interesting Wen technologies than any other portal, so why not encourage online tools and pages? Let Your Freak eFlag Fly!

Inspiring kids to want to learn is my goal when it comes down to it. The greatest feeling is remembering things from your high school English teacher and knowing that that piece of information will be with you always. Using technology and providing inspiration to keep on learning is what I am to do. This online primer as I am on my way to graduating and becoming certified feels natural and fun. I can't wait to see what the future of online spaces will bring!

I leave you with a gift of a conversation I hope to have with my daughter one day. In Simpsons form.
